Neurotech Unplugged

Neurotech Unplugged is an in-person drop-in style coffee chat initiative with Dr. Dorian Haci (link), CEO and Co-Founder of MintNeuro (link), and Dr. Adrien Rapeaux (link), Neurotech Research Fellow at Imperial NGNI Lab. It was such a pleasure having them join us, and even better seeing students and industry professionals from across London getting involved.

The conversations covered a lot. In the entrepreneurship session with Dr. Dorian Haci, we explored things like IP protection and how to convince investors to believe in your idea, especially at the pre-seed stage. In the research session with Dr. Adrien Rapeaux, some of the things we dived into includes chip design, bio-hybrid electrodes, and course recommendations. That being said, there’s always more to uncover, depending on what you want to ask. (Of course, we’re not going to give everything away here…🤫)

Our latest session of Neurotech Unplugged was an absolute highlight, featuring Lucy Jung, the visionary Founder of LYEONS Neurotech and Charco Neurotech. It was fantastic to see such a diverse mix of students, researchers, and industry professionals gathered at Imperial College London for an afternoon of high-energy networking and honest conversation.

The session took a deep dive into the realities of building a venture in the neurotech space. With Lucy at the helm, the discussion moved quickly from high-level strategy to the "how-tos" of starting a neurotech company. We touched on the unique challenges of hardware development, navigating clinical pathways, and the art of building a brand that truly resonates with the community it serves.
